Verify and enable a Notifier
Send a saved Test Delivery, verify the Notifier, and enable production delivery as two separate state-changing actions.
Begin with a saved Unverified and Paused Notifier. An Owner or Admin can verify and enable it; every Workspace Member can inspect the resulting safe evidence. See the Owner quickstart for the complete Customer API and Primary operations example.
Do not confuse the two test actions
| Action | When | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Test Notifier | Before saving | Validates configuration and public DNS without sending a live request. |
| Test Delivery | After saving | Sends a live request in the configured Destination Type's format. Success verifies the Notifier. |
Verify the saved Notifier
Open Primary operations and choose Verify Notifier. PointWarden sends a Test Delivery to the saved target and records its safe outcome separately from production Deliveries.
A successful Test Delivery changes the Notifier to Verified, but it does not enable production delivery automatically.
A later failed Test Delivery remains visible as verification evidence. It does not revoke an existing Verified state, pause an Enabled Notifier, or cancel production work. If the receiver does not accept the request, troubleshoot a failed Test Delivery.
Enable production delivery
After verification succeeds, choose Enable. Enabled makes the Notifier eligible only for new Notification Events that match both its event subscription and Monitor scope. Earlier events are not backfilled.
Expected result: Primary operations is Verified and Enabled. Verification describes accepted Test Delivery evidence; lifecycle describes production eligibility.
